You could have just hooked two small on/off float switches at the levels you want and wired them to a relay so that one closes the circuit and one opens it again. It would have taken up way less space.

I thought about that, but I'm lazy. this one is working well so I'm happy with it:)

their web site sucks. Home depot or lowes might have them. It's a replacement switch for a sump pump. It's easy find the whip style ones, but don't trust them.

If you go to the store just look in the sump pump section.
