Water temp is pretty cold. They are still active and eating. Pounding pellets this morning.
Summer time I was feeding pellets and frozen fish every day. Two pounds per week. Now, frozen fish once a week with pellets every other day.
What I read was that they will stop eating during cold weather. I guess SoCal is not considered cold.
Their (original) range in China is said to be quite huge and includes places much colder than SoCal. I wonder where the farms are that Wes will have got them from, I'd assume somewhere pretty far south.

Yellowcheek is very hardy w.r.t. temperature. They survive very well in Amur river where temp can dip to -30 degrees C.
