This background is for you Jeff! (aclockworkorange) ;) I got to talking with the sales manager and he gave me one for your planted 20g for free. Apparently not many people have the means to buy 3 backgrounds at a time so he hooked me up with some free stuff too, nice to know there are still good people out there. Make sure you drop Matt a thank you.

A little good karma going your way for helping a buddy when he's down...

I wasn't planning on ordering any of the drift wood because I am constructing my own (you guys are going to be blown away when you see it BTW :naughty:) but here is some of DBN.net's driftwood pieces. I will add them to one of the tanks and see how they do. I think it was really cool of them to hook me up with extras just for ordering the BG's. Don't know if they would do that for everyone but I'm pretty stoked today.

I think the DW is awesome to be honest and it's cool to have PH inert DW you don't have to boil or worry about it leaching tannins or critters hitching a ride into your tank etc.. You "crispy" water guys should be all over this stuff. I'm still a tannin lover though :grinno:

The AR-15 knife didn't come with them though lolz..

These are all of the pieces I have now in front of the 120g background. Which tank do you guys think I should add these too?

And finally, here they are. All three backgrounds. I sold my prize 220g to buy another FX5 to get 300g going along with these backgrounds. I am way over budget so from this point forward we are going to have to get creative on how to finish the setups. I'll post the to "do list" later tonight.

This is the background for my 300g. I wanted it thick and dark because the tank is low light blackwater setup. The tank is a little wider and taller than the background. I'm am going to have to come up with some ideas on how exactly to place this so all of thr equipmewnt is hidden. I need to fab up some overflow towers or something. I'm open to any suggestions.. :D

This is the background for the 125g. I like this design allot and the tank is in the dining room. I'm thinking about ditching the 125g and buying a 180g so I don't have to cut the height of the background. This background has plenty of places to hide equipment behind it.

This is the background for the 120g. This is hands down the best background I have ever seen from any company. I LOVE this background and it's going on my favorite tank. It's hard to go back and finish plumbing on the big tank, I want to start on this tank sooo bad! It sucks I can't get things rolling faster. :(

You can see this background (in front looks kind of bent) comes in three pieces so you don't even have to cut it. That's friggin sweet!

Well, what do you guys think? Do they look as nice as I told everyone they are?

If you ever want to embarrass the crap out of yourself and look like a total N00BIE butthole, try this.........:duh:

I unloaded the background out of the tahoe and put it against the wall. It was bubble wrapped and when I cut it open it was an ungly shiny rock one not the "river stump" I ordered... :irked: So I emailed the guys over at www.designsbynature.net saying they gave me the wrong background and I want it fixed right away...

Two minutes later I got an email back saying the back of the backgrounds are shiny because of the mold when they make them. My wife goes out in the garage and it's the right one.. I was looking at the wrong side (the back). I had to email them back and say I was really sorry! :duh: :duh::duh::duh: My wife is still laughing at me...
