Sorry, I missed this question. The answer is yes, as the peeling/fading process seen in RT's, also originates from the same Amphilophus genes as found in faders.

This is a good read. I wonder how the color red and gold play with Amelanism. I've kept few fader/ golden base flowerhorn for a long time and it jus amaze me how they kept fading and end up with nice gold/ red/ white combination.

Off topic question but maybe shed some light I just got a male tilapia buttikofferi my friend joked and say it would try Mate with my female flowerhorn my question is that even possible??
