Are fish suppose to loose only melanin pigments (melanophores)? I have seen few fish loose pearls (iridophores or guanophores) as well and few retain it.

I have created post but i want to ask here too.

He is what kind of fader? and how much time need too complete fading process?

so since fader is a gene is it codomaint or dominants and how come its not as simple as snake genes like you breed a pinstripe(dominat trait) to a normal youll get 50% of the clutch should be normal and 50% should be pinstripe would fader fall in this category as a dominant gene so it would pass to 50% of the offspring?
