FINALLY!!! Affordable Help For Large FW Systems...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The efficiency of the Clairty is second to none. I have gone through the DIY projects of PS but on a side by side could not generate the amount of effeciancy this unit provides. Also note that the media works more on a principle of sheathing water so thin that it generates an equivelent if not more surface area then a tiny bubble. Agitation works...however in my opinion sheathing holds a key. Receiving a fish shipment tomorrow so will probably get to more postings later in the week. Does anyone have any pictures of FW PS working in tanks? I'll see if I can dig some up from the old hard drive.

I too have read up on the DIY posts on Koiphen. If I spent a lot of money on a large pond, there would be no way I would skimp and try and make my own. I'd do ahead and pick up a Clarity system as it seems to be the best freshwater PS out there. HOWEVER, there are some good ones I found that are made in Europe but they work on smaller ponds.

Went through the drive and found a few LSS SW Crab setups we have done for a supermarket holding tank. This picture was taken at first setup from a mobile so please excuse the quality. This particular LSS had a problem with high DOC and Nitrate readings. Clarity was installed and water parameters improved within 2 weeks. The foam is thick and not watery. I will include pictures of foam from needle wheel PS and Clairty PS. I believe the question was asked if the foam can be adjusted. The answer is once you setup the Clarity no further adjustments are needed. Set it and it's perfect!

Ordered a CL3 yesterday.:)
please let me know of your results!

I've got a clarity skimmer (or had) on my RTC pond.
I couldn't get the results seen on koi ponds.
I do not believe these skimmers work very well in soft low PH water .....
