Ok so the firewood catfish has always been a bucket list fish for me but if you’ve kept up with my threads you know I don’t have that kind of room so I was wondering if when I do get the space to house bullseye (rtc/tsn) when he’s bigger if anyone knows any places that commonly have firewood catfish in stock or if anyone’s ever kept one before and hot to care for them again I’m not planning on buying this fish anytime this year unless things go perfectly with my other fish

Aquaimports seems to be a good source

Thank you this catfish has always been a personal favorite only because of how natives use it. The fish is very low in eating value but they still didn’t waste anything so they dry it out and use it as firewood giving it the name firewood catfish but that history is amazing I love the creativity

Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn pretty horrific lol but it is definitely creative. They are really cool fish although be careful. if I remember correctly a member here was very seriously injured by one.
Really? I hope they’re okay and don’t they have a toxin in their spines I’m pretty sure they do like how a pictus catfish does and I’ve been finned by a pictus before and dude I wanted to cut my finger off to stop the pain it was small pictus but it packs a punch
