OnceLoyal def some creative names there lol, I cant talk since Sevvy and Geo really arent creative xD
what if it was a pair of bichirs though? that would get people thinking.

I want to bring this thread back lol. I love naming my fish.
Guess I’ll start with my fish that are dead/got eaten
Silver datnoid - bubbles cause he looked like bubbles from trailer park boys
Silver Arowana - Midas
Longfin Oscar - TRON/Black Death
Blind Cave Tetras - all 3 were Ed as a collective
Senegal Bichir - Bear
Fish currently
Delhezi Bichirs - Baco and Bemo (as in Nemo cause it has gimp fin)
Albino and Senegal Bichir - Bulger and Brutus
Clown Knife - Michael
Black Ghost Knife - Afleck
Spotted Ctenopomas - Mr Echo and Charlie
Blue Lobster - Pinky
Synodontis - Blowie thanks to the GF
I haven’t named my cichlids cause my red devil has decided to 86 a few so no point right now lol

Blue Gourami - Torigoe (RIP). She was the bully in my old community tank, named after a crazy Yakuza guy
Blue dolphin (Cyrtocara moorii) - Steven Tyler, because of his big silly lips
Albino Protomelas steveni (Taiwan Reef fish) - Urkel, because he's white (like Jaleel White) and he used to get picked on
Albino bristlenose pleco - Homer, because one day I found him lying on his back like he was dead, waiting for food to fall into his mouth. Seems like a pretty "Homer Simpson" thing to do.

I like to come up with matching names for similar fish, for example I have two orange metallic Koi named Don and Von. If I can't come up with a name on my own, I'll just go to one of those random name generator websites and set it to generate rare names and then use one of those.
I've only named a few of my fish as I'm just not big on names. I call most of them fish, even the ones with names get called fish. I call my cats either Cat or Fat Cat and my dogs are Big Dog, Fat Dog and Frankfurter. My snake is Noodle and my rat is Rat
My TSN was named ******* because it ate everything.
Largemouth Bass was named Gary Glitter because every time it ate it looked like a glitter bomb went off in the tank.
Rainbow Shark is Mr. Mustachio for obvious reasons.
Lemon Oscar is Lemondrop.

Zep (LED zeppelin) she had swim bladder issues and finally past away during the heat wave last week :'(
Sabbath (Black Sabbath) now Nick named Ms Fanta Pants since she is losing her black colour
Biggie
Eddie (Vedder)
Freddie (Mercury), is a normal orange goldfish with a black moustache.
Stella, named after a beer, but is actually a male.
I have only named one of my Blue Acara so far, it's colouring is still really dull and it seems a bit stupid....comparatively, so it's name is Potato.
