My piscasa has crashed so im at my brother house to do my three updates from this week!
My nephew wanted to go fishing and I wanted to make sure he caught something so I took him to the cess pool in a Robbinsville,NJ. I caught the first fish on the spinny. Then the bite was very slow. My nephew finally got his first and then I followed up with my second. It was getting dark and I was ready to go but he wanted to stay for alittle while longer. Good thing we did stay cause I banged another on a sexy shad crank bait and my nephew was able to bang a monster bass on the spinny.
Alittle slow today but it was fun to watch my nephew catch a monster!!!
Dennis and I went to this little spot I used to go catch carp from. The water looked ok but I didnt see any life and we left after 45 minutes. Then we went to a spot I have posted about in the past that is very close to my job. Had two blow ups on the frog and I actually let one get off that jumped on the dinger, but when it was pretty dark BAM my first buzzy fish of the year!! It was mind blowing and was a good 50ft fight!!
Got off work early today so why not take the boat for alittle while at the "amazon". Banged my first one right off the back(buzzy). Second one came on a DT-4 crank bait. The wind was blowing super hard today so I just stayed with the buzzy. Good thing I did cause they were jumping on it like crazy today. Dennis got one a spinner bait and banged a catfish on a "lipless".
Fishing today was excellent, nothing beats catching bass on the buzzyy!!
Well I got up at 5 am for a long day of fishing was at the pier by 5:40am and didnt leave 4:00 pm. What a long day. First my buddy had a hit and a miss on a bobber and crawler, 10-20 mins later he landed a nice 4.5 pound brown trout. After that around 11:30 my other friend starts yelling "holly $H*T look at the size of that brown trout, Tyler its right next to you alewife rig". So I run over when the bobber starts to dive under. Swing and a miss number 1. My friend walks down and tells my other budy hes acidently hooked a bird as I reset my bobber no sooner then it hits the stop the big giant brown tugs it under again as my friends are over working on untangleing the bird. I set the hook only to come empty again my hook got lodged in the body of the bait. What a bummer as he never returned. The whole lake side the pier was murky water and we could see clear water in the distance with a changing wind we decide to wait it out. By about 1 pm we were the only fisherman on the pier left. Then we catch our lucky break the clear water works its way closer and closer at 1:30 my bobber dives under I set the hook and conect with a nice coho with a crawler under a bobber. At around 2 my other rod with the alewife ducks under I tell my friend to go ahead and get it. He sets the hook and conects buts its bearly hooked as he brings it near the pier the net bumps the fish just right and the fish is free. So our wait did pay as we were the only anglers to catch a salmon of the pier that day just to bad we didnt land the other or get any more hits. Right before we leave the pier an angler lands a massive carp and another angler lands a 17+ inch perch (sorry didnt get a pic of the perch) View attachment 487550
As a father's day present we booked a catfish guy to take us out on the potomac river for big blues. We had to go early in the season before the spawn so we celebrated an early fathers day. Despite the heavy winds we were able to get 7 all over 20+lbs. Papa got 3, the first and a 40 and 38 lber. while i got the other 4 with my biggest at 27.5 lbs.
