Yes Manalapan lake is a great spot!!

Last year I pulled a monster 4.9lb bass out right by the rail road tracks!!!

yup thats right where I was today. I was a bit further down yesterday but I was just to the left of the RR bridge today.I'm keeping my rods in the truck for now on man

Yeah when I lived In east windsor that was one of my favorites spots but know its a 35-40 minutes ride. If I make my way out there one day, ill give you a call!!

At 7:15 the day begun at "the amazon"!!

I landed the first fish of the day right off the back on a DT-4. The next fish didnt come until 10:37, then at 11:28 I banged a nice three pounder on a 80ft cast on the buzzy!! Shortly after I banged my forth and then Dennis let a nice three pounder get off like 5ft away from the boat . Then my fifth fish came at 3:49 when a 4.3lb CP(my biggest ever) straight killed the buzzy 60ft out!! I went on to land 3 more bass and a small CP. Dennis finally got his first fish around 4:45.

Not alot of fish landed today but I caught the biggest CP of my life and hit the three pound mark with the bass, it was a decent day!!!

Well Terry I can hear the call of NJ again, I have been summoned back to Princeston so I will be there this weekend coming if you have any room in that boat of yours for a trip to the lake where I see vegitation starting to rear its beautiful buds or anyother good spots with some veggy's on them I'm game I'll bring my two lures and may stop by Dick's Sporting Goods for a third. So let me know, because one of the 2~3 days Ihope to be there I'll have to take the kids out to fill up the aquarium.

Have you ever fished by the Pine barrens? . I read in some fish mag great fishing . Though you catch where you fish was curious if you had ever fished there.

Ive heard about it but I dont have a clue where it is!!

 

[Deep Blue Sea]

For Spring Break me and Minnowmagnet went for a 5 1/2 day fishing trip down the southern California coast.

Besides seeing all the wonderful sites along the coast including Morrow Rock, Steep Cliffs, a Trout Farm, Dolphins, Otters, and thousands of Harbor Seals and Sea Lions we also did quite a bit of fishing and caught the following:

1x 20lb Batray
1x 21" Lingcod
1x 16" Kelp Greenling
1x 14" Opal eye
40+ Rockfish between 2" and 10"
2x Irish Lords both about 4"
5+ Bat Stars
1x 16" Sun Star
5+ Ochre Star
1x 8" perch
and last but certainly not least
250+ maybe even 300+ Pacific Makerel all between 6" and 17" and 1/2lb and 2lb

Ill post some pictures tomorrow and add more as I get them from my camera.

I throught I would go kill them at "CNJ" right before dark but no. I have noticed that the best bite has been in the middle of the day. I lucked up and banged one. If you look at the pic I made sure to get the shoreline in it so I could prove to my nephew we finally landed one on that part of the shoreline. Just last week we were talking about how we never catch anything on that side!

Not what I expected but ha atleast I got one!!!
