ah I hooked in to a monster flathead last night had the drag to tight and it broke my 65 pound power pro like it was a thread. Cant wait for this ran to pass so I can get another chance.
Today I decided we try a new spot. Its alittle man made lake thats in new complex in Robbinsville, NJ.
I was able to land a decent two pounder and Kyle landed two small ones. Kyle had just givin up and was seatting on the car saying how he beat me today but NO NO I was able to land one on the last cast. It was only 5's so I emptied a bucket I had in the trunk and as we speak "Breford" is swiming around in the 180!!
Got off of work and headed straight to Dicks sporting goods to grab some things. I picked up 5 buzzy's, 4 spinny's, some new larger trick worms, and a jointed saltwater popper!!
Once I was back in the car I decided to try and find this pond a dude told me about last week that is right by Rider college. I got lost in the woods but think god for smart phones. All I had to do was walk left instead of right. Its a very small pond on a golf course. SOon as I walked up it was sunnies EVERYWHERE. So im fishing for about 20 minutes and I seen a few golfers come and go but as the last group came by I seen a dude coming my way. He said " look im one of the managers here and we dont really care if people fish here but on Wensdays we have tornaments, so do me a favor and leave" I said ok but I threw a couple more times and what do you know a 2.3 jumped right on the trick worm!!!
I still had some time before church so I stoped at the college of NJ for a hour. I was able to bang three decent ones on the trick worm before calling it quits!!!
