Went fly fishing yesterday in a private pond and had a blast I dont really know how to fight fisght fish well with a flyrod and missed about 75 percent of the hits:eek:
3 of the fish that got off must have been larger then sixteen inches, likely around 18 inches. trust me on this i have caught a lot of fish and i am positive those fish were lunkers. Anyway i caught 5 fish the first was the largest bluegill i have ever caught i weighed him but didnt measure him. I am guessing 10 1/2 inches. The rest were bass, 2 were about 10 inches (i could only land the smallest bass!?!?!? one was about 12 inches and the last one was 14 inches and weighed in a little more then a pound.
Overall it was fun even though i missed so many i am sad because i know that if i had used rapalas my catch rate would have soared. I caught my first bass with a fly on that trip though.

Yeah it can be a hard lake to fish some days but when they are popping you stand the chance if landing a monster. I think it's like that cause it gets alot of pressure but it usually pops right before dark!!
