LOL my whole house is always set to 65-70max LOL (making my basement an average of 60-65) which in the summer is good, as the tanks never needed a chiller... but the winter heating costs go way up, hence why I insulate my tanks... I'm even looking into making a removable thermal pane for the display window to further increase the efficency of my future tanks.

Could be worth a try for one of the gasoline ones; the natural gas ones aren't quite so cheap and are hooked up to your gas line and electrical system.

Might be a good idea to at least try asking since I imagine that you have power outages from snow and ice during the winter, right?
Yea it might be....we lost power for almost a week two or three years ago and nothing died. Like everything was completely fine. Our fireplace was working better back then though.

These arent bad ideas. So all your tanks are cozied up right now? I never need a chiller, my basement stays naturally cool even on some of our rediculously hot wisco summer days.

Going to take a light/flow movie tonight...but wont be showing too much of the tank. Not sure if Ill get down to uploading it as I have a lot of freshwater stuff to upload once I get home from/for work.

They would be... if I had any... stupid school, moving around twice a year makes it impossible to maintain a tank properly so untill I finish no tanks for me.

Well guys - I gotta get back on top of this thing.

For starters I have gotten:

A DIY BRS dual reactor (doesnt really work)
A mag pump for mixing salt and pumping it back into my sump (yay, no more buckets!)
And a pH up brs three part dosing kit from BRS (just gotta get a mag, and alk test kit and we should be ready to rock)

As far as livestock goes:

1 blotched anthias
1 green wrasse
1 convict blenny (found him - have been thinking he was dead, but it turns out he is alive and twice as big as he was)
1 yellow/purple wrasse
1 large serpent star
1 chevron tang
1 reefhab acan - going to dustin if he can get to it before this angel destroys it.
1 trach brain - totally sweet. Thing is like four colors, but not doing well. Going in the very back of my tank as soon as I am done with this post
1 (3) headed warpaint w/green scoly. This thing is pretty sweet. One rock, three scolies. Green, brown, blue, red. Mainly red and blue.

My sister is visiting us and she has a HD Flip video. So before she goes home I will REALLY try and get video of my tank, and feeding the fish. Two separate videos - feeding is sort of a must see in this tank haha.

Yea - I had a pump and mixing bucket, but I had to pump water into buckets, and my stand (although outrageously tall) wasnt tall enough to get a bucket down to the sump. So I had to pour new water into the tank - not desireable by any means.

Hopefully getting down to that video tonight as I have recieved permission to use the Flip HD
