Flowerhorn ID and gender!!!!

Zz red dragon bro. Not a Kamfa. Kamfa are different than this. More vieja blood in Kamfa and it’s noticeable. Looks like good potential to be a Dope Flowerhorn. Time will tell how that unfolds. If female, could pair with the fader if you still have it unless this is the replacement. Looking forward to how this one turns out. Hopefully male even if might not have large kok genes. Looks promising bro.

Besides that, seems to be growing very well. But ever since you changed substrate, color has been rather pale and drab imo. I would switch back to shallow layer of the black substrate you had originally as his color showed the best back then. I think if you switch back you will properly see the result of how far the color has developed since then.

To emphasize, from the get-go, when you could actually clearly see its coloration, most definitely a young Juvie Red dragon. ZZ type. 💯 no doubt
 
It really do look like solid genes though. I really like this type of Flowehorn. Might get big. Heavy on the amphilphus/Trimac genetics. What size tank is it in now?
 
Update after a week. Post your opinions.Does he have the potential?.Could not see complete cross head pearls but barely can be seen.He is around 2.5 inches

Hi I vented my fish and seems to be a female ...I could not take pics by holding her.But he vent is U shaped.
