Too each there own. I’d say it’s decent food at worst and good food at best. Northfin, NLS, Bug Bites I agree are all better foods. It’s good to have variety. I’ll state it again though, Hikari has its place. Cheers

There are big doubts about the show fish that I see in the competitions video from Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei and Jakarta fed NLS, Dennerle, Bug Bites, Northfin or Dainichi. There are no such brands in the markets of Southeast Asia. But in any pet store on the shelves of food Ocean Free, Sumo, Xin Yang, Azoo, various local manufacturers and the ubiquitous Hikari.

Nissan is garbage in my opinion. None of my fishes foe the last 20+ years like them omega one and hilari is the way to go. Only thing I hate about hilari is that the fish poop so much after feeding them with it and it pollutes like crazy. But it's ok I do water changes on my tanks 2 to 3 times a week because of the waste I see.

I'd go with hikari and omega one color as staple and frozen to raw tilapia and other seafood as treats. That's what I feed my fishes and they love it. Also depends on genetics on the kok. Always ask for videos or pictures of the parents if ordering from over seas so you get the idea on how there babies will grow out to be. If you just bought from a lfs, then good luck on guessing the genes.
