My gator gar is about 10". W he lose his spots at any point

Each one is different.

Alright guys lets get your opinion these were sold as a gator gar it looks an aweful lot like my florida so thats what i believe it is. Please prove me right dont need a monster gator. Roughly 12"

Was told they were about 6 months ago at golds as gators. I have so far found that everyone in this city lists floridas as gators quite frustrating and annoying

True, everyone just categorizes gars as Alligator gars. I guess it's the catch all name for all gars. There is a big difference between Florida and gator once they are a little bigger. They are easy to tell apart once you own one of each as you can compare the mouth and color pattern. Mouth(short and wide) is the easiest way to tell them apart but maybe harder when smaller.
