This is my Oscar Toni.
I got her at about 1.5 inches, now she is around 11in ...View attachment 1326027
She is beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with me.

As far as water changes go most of my stuff is on an auto system but this guy is in a hospital tank and isolated from everything. Thinking of using some planted driftwood and a few large river stones for decor but keeping him in something bare bottom just coz its easier to keep clean. And since I am a hard core koi and GF lover, this oscar will never eat one in my care.

I tried doing some research watching youtube but all i found was morons feeding random pets and wild animals to their fish... Not helpful and a little gross frankly.

Definitely a cute little O, how big is it now about 6in mark? Reminds of Toni back when she was smaller and her Orange coloring had not exploded into what it is now. Believe me or not but she was sold as an albino Tiger Oscar from the Wet Spot.

Do you give it any krill? That will make that Orange go crazy. I give Toni some each meal.

For feeding best bet is to get her on a good pellet as her main food source. Then supplement that with treats here and there like frozen blood worms, freeze dried krill, live meal worm, live crickets, frozen brine shrimp and so on.

I started Toni on Hikari gold. Tried to switch to New Life Specrum, but she wasn't having that. Back to Hikari Carnisticks.

Hard to tell from the pics but its acually around 8.5inches now. Has grown some since it came. It does love the krill. I've been hand feeding it lately too. It was really skittish and fearful at first but has opened up to me atleast. He bottom sits in the back of the tank if anyone else comes up to it.
