Lou why don't you just build a canister filter out of say a 8, 16 or 32 gallon trash can buy the motor/pump housing from a dealer like Eheim and just retro fit it as the top and bingo! Or build a sand filter.

Wanna make me a good offer & don't mind the drive you can come on over and pick up my 2.2 beasty bunch. They'd love a new home, someone new to plan and scheme against. There's nothing this group won't eat, well ehhh except cheese.

Bring 4 or more 5 US Gallon Buckets with lids, air pump not required as they breathe from the surface. Though you will need a pump if you take the full offer - I'll throw in the 2 parrots & the 2.1 Angles if you like. they all get along together now, the 2 male Angles fight each other, the female watches with delite. The RTGG's battle with one another and the parrots steal food from the RTGG's, without consequences. What more could one want, plus these RTGG have alot more growing to do.:naughty:

where in the great USA are you, i would seriously take the RTGG's from you. I am planning on making a 550gallon tank of acrylic so keeping them would not be a problem i just can't seem to find anyone how sells these beautiful creatures.

Tequila, doesn't look that far on a map to me, maybe your going to realize your dream and finally get rid of them;)

My US geography has been proven to be somewhat wayward in the past though;)

Wait until you finally get one, or four, they grow up quick, eat you out of house and home and tend to kill all your other fish for fun:screwy:

Still could be worse, I could have four who's hobbies and interests include fighting with each other and dive bombing the owner when their not looking:ROFL:

Mine don't bother the other fish in the tank, except for a pair of gold tinfoil barbs that resembled - more than I realized when I picked them out at the LFS - The feeders I used to feed them and the Aro back when I had an Aussy Aro. And they only beat the Aro senseless when it tried to eat one of them. Remember that my RTGG's are at the very least 3x larger than the other largest fish in the tank & as much as 15x larger than the smallest fish in the same tank. And they all get along fine, people that come over are shocked when they see my 1.5 inch should have been culled female Pink Convict steal food right from the largest male RTGG mouth. And the RTGG ignores it, instead of just biting the convict in half.

My RTGG's are just schemming and plotting against me, because they heard I was looking Recipes for them.:D
