So I'm guessing that the RTGG we see in the LFS's with dark fins, are female?

Fin coloration, size, shape has nothing to do with sex as far as I can see. I have one female that rivals the males in coloration, when she's in a good mood of course. It is really had to tell when there small, but when they hit about 8~10 inches you'll start to see differences in the shape of there heads, faces, and jaws. Males have a broader rounded lower jaw, and females have a narrow pointed , sort of pinched look to there jaw and face. Just look at the pics I'm posting you can easily tell male from females.

I'll post more pix later........

:nilly: A few more.........:

Next up 2 head shots: Can you tell which is which?

Heres a shot of the right side of the short finned male, aka Mr. grumpy:irked:

Superb photos, I can't believe that know one wants to make you an offer for the beasts

:nilly:Hopefully photo will be getting better as I just spent an hour learning more about this PHS (push here stupid) Digital camera and some of it's manual features. Seems that instead of shooting a L-mode for image size I should have this dam thing set to RAW, which works slower but gives greater detail. Hmmmm. Fish are going nutz with my chasing them everywhere shooting photos of them, kicking up and producing veggy poop everywhere there NOT happy at all. Guess after it's all over I'll have to do a water change, with some gravel vacuuming. Unbelievable green when it goes in green when it comes out.:irked:

That's what frustrates me trying for a slower spend shutter speed. You wait and wait and then 1/2 way through the picture the fish will move and you end up with motion blur:irked: Like you say, doesn't help if the fish don't want to be photographed:irked:

Any offers in yet?

Ah, the joys of fish photography :)

Anyway, Tequila brother, have you posted on the Market Place section?

:) Your rants about taking pictures incited me to post a couple...
