GIANT gouramis

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
here's a few updated shots of my two pigs.

the RTGG jumped 2 weeks ago through an almost 2" gap, i walked into the room and saw him on the ground almost dry. i got him back in the tank and added some salt, he healed up fast, aside from some torn fins and color loss, you almost can't tell anything ever happened now.

Awesome GG's Mighty!!

Just goes to show how hardy they can be

Mighty, what the sizes on them?

Great fish, Mighty :) And the first 2 shots are awesome :)

So I just finished a large water change. The sevs seem to really be enjoying the fresh clean water as always, the bichirs are huddled under the drift wood still sort of freaked out from all the water splashing, but otherwise I'm sure they're happy too.

I see the RTGG swimming against the glass, opening and closing it's mouth, and he looks almost like he's thanking me for the clean water.

I'm smiling because my fish looks happy, almost dancing with happiness. But my smile quickly fades to horror as my RTGG (still smiling and dancing) begins to take the largest crap I've ever seen it take, and it's swimming side to side up and down movements are just dispersing the crap further around the tank. And he's still smiling. :irked:

Not by coincidence, the filters are setup just right so that quickly most of the crap makes it's way to a near by intake tube. :)

Yeah RTGG's love doing that, mine love it when I do water changes, they all crap in the same area. First one then they all start going, triggered by the first. So I now do a 5~10 gallon water change and wait about 3~5 minutes for them to start and then I do the remaining 60 gallons, works everytime.

I've noticed that my catfish and pacu have also the same habit... it's as if the water change triggers them to crap...
