Where can you get these guys i can never find them in stores.
Luck I guess, not a lot of LFS stock them for fear of size/feeding if they don't sell

My dad said that its bad to keep your fish tank in your room is that true?
Ideally a tank should be in a low traffic area in the home on the ground floor due to the weight involved on a concrete base.

As Yanbbrox pointed out most shops don't wanna get them do to fear that they will get stuck with a Monster that they will have too feed and house, costing them monies that they'll rarely re-coup.

I paid $130 for my first pair at 4 inches, which later proved to be 2 males, hench there constant fighting even when small. One male ripped the dorsel fin of the other half off. But my second set which was later learned to be 2 females, cost much less as they where supposed to be sold too someone else but they didn't take them. I have seen larger ones like mine now go for $180~$300 each at LFS that are trying to recoup maintaining them in house for so long.

Meth Blue A.K.A. Methylene Blue: Aids in general disease prevention, including superficial fungal infection, ich, and costia. Detoxifies fish from nitrite or cyanide poisoning. All treatment should be carried out in a hospital tank or container. Some LFS use as net dip. I would not let the LFS put this stuff in the bag.

All GG's glup air mainly from the surface, especially so when agitated. I would either ask for the largest bags they have to offer or bring my own 5~6gal bucket with drilled lid and battery powered aerator ask that they use just enough water to cover the fish. Allowing for a greater surface area. Keep the lid covered with a towel or something so light doesn't get in a agitate the fish anymore than can be helped.

:iagree:Large bag, Keep it as dark as possible, you'd probably get away without the air but if you have access to one use it. Heat shouldn't be a problem on a five hour drive just take it easy when introducing the fish to the tank
