What's up GG fans!! I know I haven't posted here before, but I have been waiting for the gallery to work for me so that I can post pictures of my GG. She's only 6 or 7 inches, but growing fast!!!

Quick question, do all GG's have issues with aros? I have a 13 inch silver and my little GG is constantly picking on him!!! I thought she would be scared of the much bigger aro, but she's a tough lil one!!! Should I be worried about them hurting each other bad? I mean, the aro tries to avoid the GG, but the GG loves to start stuff wit the aro......... Keep in mind that the GG doesn't mess with any other tankmates.

Depends totally on the gg's personality, some are real 'insert naughty word here' others are as placid as anything. If it's picking on your aro now it will end up killing it, size matters not.

Our little 3.5 inch(at the time) wiped out most of a tank in 48 hours, not aros, large bala sharks and very large silver dollars. One dollar carried on for another 6 months after and refused to be bullied but it got it in the end, the fish got slightly ill and after the 6 month stand off the gg took the opportunity.

Once the aro is out of the way I'm sure it will turn it's attention to other fish, what are the other tank mates?

Wow!! I didn't realize they could be so aggressive. Right now its living with the aro, a Jag (12inch), 2 O's(12inch), bellycrawler Pike, and 2 pacu's(13inch). She might end up having a 100g to herself, cuz I will be putting everyone else (Except the pacu's. they have other plans) in a 210. All of my fish have grown up together (since they were very small) and get along with no problems. Things just went kind of crazy when I added the GG last month.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news, after a few deaths in my main tank, I'll get a gg, by the time it grows the other fish would have also died out, not the case, I can only comment on the exodon that we have but have heard the same story time after time here and in other places be it common, red tail or the mythical elephant ear.

I've not checked the sticky rules recently but If I remember correctly pictures are mandatory;)(they don't exist btw:ROFL:)

Hope it works out for you, I was just painting a worse case scenario but I do believe your aro is at risk if you leave it in there. Koji keeps aros and ggs no problem at all, as does the mighty O, it can be done but agression towards another fish results in one winner the gg. I've just got a couple of Os myself(different tank) and they are already going at it, I'm suprised they've not got anything to say about the new arrival

All good. I will keep my GG on a short leash. Don't worry about the picts. I will find a way to post some up after I get off work.
