GIANT gouramis

Here is a close-up shots of the teeth that my rtgg male didn't have. And they all look to be in a row to me, unlike a pad or boney disk or plate.

Fish fry turned into a fish bake, because I hate the smell of fried fish. But I was more than amazed at the flavor of the beast, way way better than Oscars which taste like mud.

Yes I eat fish, but mainly saltwater fish because most freshwater fish taste too fishy, Trout is just inedible too me, Catfish is ok and baked Tilapia is good, Salmon is good but they mainly just breed in freshwater. But so far Oscar and Carp have to be the worst tasting freshwater fish I've ever tasted.

My RTGG has to be one of the better tasting freshwater fish I've had in a long time. No fishy after taste, everyone who attended was so impressed with the taste that the remaining fish where hiding in every corner of the tank.

It was sort of difficult for me at first bite but I did make it easier for me by cutting the fish into fillets and removing the head to the freezer for another day.

I see the bottom row, can't see clearly at the top, were there some there as well?

If you've down scaled the image, can you mail me the originals?

What wrong with eating fish, did I miss something or is it because it's a dead pet fish, either way it's still dead why not eat it.

I actually prefer Trout to Salmon, caught wild and then cooked right away, very nice especially if you caught it yourself. I do however prefer plaice or cod given the option:)

I will but first I will reshoot the head and mouth now that it's seperated from the body. Should be easier to hold and position for a few better shots. While I took shots already they where mainly of the lower set not the upper. And while I know there are teeth in the upper jaw I'm not sure as to whether theres one or two rows of teeth. The bottom has one well defined row of teeth.

Thanks Tequila, It's just not that clear on the upper jaw, I can see what could be teeth on the upper jaw but can't make anything conclusive out. I just want to sort this whole teeth/ no teeth thing out, if an Exodon is the only GG to grow teeth I want to know the difference is that's all. George is growing external teeth which is what's expected, your big Redtail clearly has internal teeth, I need to know the difference especially now we have Gerogina

If the fish is headless(considering you ate it, it should be;)) It would be safer to email the pictures to save any problems on the board
