Why aren't goldens called leucistic? Wouldn't that be more appropriate considering they have albino coloration with black eyes. When I had corn snakes for my daughter, that was what the albino with black eyes was called.

Anyway, my "golden" is finally getting big enough for its lower jaw to get that cool scoop like shape. Bought some collard greens to feed my briggs snails for calcium and decided to give some to the fish in the 210. The gg loves it as do the bocourti which it terrorizes constantly.

I see some of you talking about he or she in regard to your ggs. What are the characteristics to sex them? I suppose I could Google it like I always do, but asking here is always good too.

I should be able to get new pics this week, but here's a few older ones.

What is the size - lip to tail, approx age, and pls post a few more pics full body and head shots. Because the head/mouth area appears too be a female, but the coloration suggests a male, so I need more info.

my guess would be femail from the fins and lips. if you post a close-up of the lips, Tequlia should be able to sex it correctly

thanks for the pics. he looks so skinny in the pics. sometimes i dont think he knows he's a dog. he's the friendliest dog, loves ppl and attention. we slept all day after we got back from the trip. i guess after playing in the grass at the park, climbing and eating sand at the beach wore him out.

and you were right about Carmel having beautiful sunset. need drive there again and spend a whole weekend there next time.

He isn't skinny by any means...he is a chunk just like he is supposed to be. He sure is a special one, for sure!!

When you get the huge tank, you'll certainly have the filtration already!!

I spent much of my youth there at Carmel beach, it is a wonderful place...this time maybe the coast road will be opened...I saw the slide on the news...it was covering both lanes and onto the ocean side shoulder...Glad you were not right there, that would have been a very long way back and around...
