GIANT gouramis

I just got this guy about 2 weeks ago. He has been beat up pretty badly and is missing alot of his tail fin, not to mention under nurished and skinny. A good friend of mine picked him up and decided to let me care for him until he healed up. He has since decided that he cant care for him properly sooo i'm going to keep him. I'm going to make sure this fish lives a long happy life. His fins are healing up very well and is eating as much as my "piggy":WHOA:. A few months and he should be back to full health:naughty:.

You're the Man Dion!!!! Making Awesome improvement!!!

----Chris
He's going to be an awesome GG.:headbang2

Looking at the damage, I can see no reason why it shouldn't make a fully recovery. None of the fins are completely torn. I be tempted to do a course of Myxazin just to help things along.

Good look with him.

I treated him for the first week and after 2 weeks he's healed up very well. Now to powerfeed and get some girth on him.

mine was a dick
it actually killed a 6 inch flower horn
and tried killing my oscars
he was only 12 inches and still growing
in my experience glad to give him away!
good luck

Its been my experienc that GG's are very particular with tankmates. My GG doesnt like anything over 6-7", so i keep him with africans. Most GG's are very grumpy and throw their weight around even to larger fish/tankmates. You should have gotten rid of the Oscars...

Look after that beautiful fish mate. I'm sure Cornelius will reward you with many years of attention and entertainment.
