Awesome fish, I believe the colors should come back, looking at the damage. Diet can help but the best thing you can do is change your bulbs. Certain lights bring different colors out more.Hey all,
Thought i would post up some pics of my RTGG, I believe she is female. The tail was damaged when i got her and has grown back nicely but i am waiting to the colour to return. Awesome personality and seems to be playing nicely with the other fish in the tank (2xfeatherfin catfish,1x large peco and a large Green terror)
Don't worry i have since filled the tank up more.
A few questions i have. My RTGG doesn't seem to have as vibrant colours as some of the pictures posted here. Is the red something that develops with age or should i be changing the diet/lighting ect to the the best out of her ? And also i have only recently added the 3D background to the tank and she has found a little cave that she loves, is this a concern or she just likes feeling safe ? when the tank was bare she was more interactive with me when i walked past
Cheers
Best way to move it is using a koi sockHi,
Sadly we may to rehome ours as he has a habit of banging against the cover glass and a bit worried that he'll damage it / cause him self an injury :-( He's around 20" in size and to be honest have no idea on the best way to catch him, we've got some nets but they wont be big enough and cant see him playing nicely lol I'm guessing scooping him up a t-shirt or something else that can be bundled up could work but any ideas / advice?
Cheers
