Nice,

Good luck on the mixing, being female and a rtgg should help from what I've heard they are more peaceful.

Set you back much or did you do a straight swap?

Where do you get your fish from normally is it just a lfs and you get lucky or do you have a large specialist over on that side of the hill?

It was a traight swap but i also got a 5-6" Golden Nugget pleco, 2 channa and 2 KG of bloodworms.

I take it they are local to you?
If we need to find anything rare we go to BAS in Bolton, they stock just about everything at most times.

BAS does tend to be hit and miss when it comes to certain species, but they have massive scope when they have everything in, sometimes you do have to pay a bit more but then again you could have to travel that much further to find the fish you are looking for. George came from BAS, £80, only gg of any variety in the area at the time.

Is fish inc on the same scale and worth a visit? We've got mates in Leeds that we see about once a year. We could drop down if it's that good next time we go over.

I'm sure the wife would enjoy the snake pass on the way home! (she doesn't drive BTW)

Forgot to ask, are they your oscars or was that taken before you picked the rtgg up?

Nothing new here. It's getting to be about time to clean the filter, but it'll wait until next year. Biggest tank I've seen lately at any customer's homes was only a 60 gal, and although it was not being used, I don't think stepping down in size will work very well.

The good news is that my son and I are going to ride dirtbikes this next week, not that it's relevant to mfk.
