Green Sunfish Spawning ?s...

I do have a pumpkinseed in that tank as well.

LOL, I suppose it does dosen't it? Mine is a 100g. An old 100g at that, steel frame and slate bottom. EXTREAMLY heavy. It holds a rock bass, green, Central longear, pumpkinseed and largemouth.

So have any of you all had any luck in breeding greenies? Beautiful fish all of you have I might add..

I only have one green, have only ever caught about 5 in my entire life (they aren't very common in NY) so no, I haven't bred it. The closest I have come to breeding a centrarchid species was with my pair of Northern longears who I still have and are quite young. They live in a different system.

I scored two more at Wal-Mart. They were in with the feeder goldfish.
$0.24 a piece I am stoked.
 
My pair spawn again today. WOO-HOO :)
I am stoked. There must be at least 100 eggs in the nest.
 
peepa how large are your greens and specs of the tank

Female= 3"
35 gallon tank
