I want to say that it's some sort of snail-eating snake, maybe Dipsas catesbyi?

So, so close. Still a different genus. Another hint -- while it does consume molluscs, most snail-eaters rely on the collapse of snails' organs to kill their prey. This species consume them live and let the digestive system take care of the rest. So you are looking for the snails' closest relatives instead.

So close guys... you got it in the same country, same family and similar diet. Now is the question of patterns and coloration.
