Bingo! Ruddocki is variable in it's coloration through out it's range. This animal, found by my friend Chad Lane, is a nice example of how red this subspecies can get. Most M.f.ruddocki are tan to olive gray. They also can be difficult to find, even it areas where it is most abundant.
