Pardon me, there's absolutely no way I will remove natives from their forest home for recreational reasons. Perhaps you may consider looking for the captive bred ones instead. Wild-caughts are after all, very unstable.

I was not being serious about you sending me a male. That said, I do have to comment on some of your logic, however. I agree that the trade in wild caught animals is unsustainable in the long term, however, as long as that trade is allowed legally, which at this time it is, collection and export of wild caught animals will continue until a viable alternative is available. I'm all for captive bred ones as an alternative, but its impossible to produce captive bred alternatives when there are virtually no males in captivity. Thus, until breeders like myself are able to obtain males to produce captive bred animals to offset the demand for wild caught animals, the demand for wild caught animals will be maintained and they will continue to be collected from the wild and exported.

Chris

I see your point and apologise for taking your post too seriously. I agree, but I believe wild caughts should be sold exclusively, licensed to more experienced people who have intentions to breed. The inconsistency in trade of herps by pet shops with wild caughts, is causing their entire population to collapse and creating bunches of zealot activitists running to ban the trade. Hopefully, one day, experienced herp breeders can instead, contribute proper specimens back to the wild populations. That would be very good. Either way, this is a picture thread so let us skip our ideas and continue this very interesting game.

Berber King...we're waiting.
