Way to go Cuban Jey! I found a listing for those but no picture and I could see that it wasn't the L. microlepsis. Lets see your pic.

Yes you were right it's a RIVER LAMPERY (Lampetra fluviatilis)

Dan D etc, I was close the river lamprey has fewer but larger teeth. I did a paper once on thevarious lampreys world wide. My favorites are the little nonparasitic brook lampreys.

Okay, let me just say that in it's homeland this next one is very common,
I will settle for the correct common name or the scientific name, and as a hint they are not from the u.s., the u.k., or europe
