bump! My MRTC can be handfed and petted now. Kinda freaked me out, this catfish usually hates it when I come around, but has warmed up lately. Guess when they get some size on them, they mellow out a little.

Basslover34...you crack me up. I agree with you that the last owner was afraid of feeding the TSN you have by hand...maybe it was the sand-papery-tug when the TSN is trying to be the Great Hunter. I know that the first couple of pellets I feed my TSN are going to be ... nice...or not. Usually, if I land the pellet at exactly the right place in front of his nose, he will take the first pellet nicely...but...maybe the second pellet he is kind of aggressive...pulling and allowing me to feel his teeth. Then...he is gentle again because I take some time in between to pet him. He is a force to be reckonned with and I wouldn't have it any other way. Once when my TSN smashed into the glass of his tank after an eight hour power outage, he broke his nose. We were devastated thinking that we could lose our TSN but he responded to some gentle hand feeding and again he remains a power to be reconned with. I don't know how to post pictures, but I do have a couple of pictures of him in my personal gallery, please take a look.

Dang.. .you really didn't kid when you said he busted up his nose... Happy lookin guy you got there though... Necrocanis also has a TSN with a bent up nose (not this much but still) Shout out to Lumpy :headbang2:ROFL:

I'm not going to push this guy to hard.. Buster still runs the tank and when my hand goes in with food... he takes it and pushes Tigger out of the way but I can throw food to the other end of the tank and Buster will stay right next to me while Tigger goes and gets it from there...so I guess it's as they say... all good in (under) da hood (tank lights) ;)
