Has anyone kept yellow perch?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Damn, what type of mbuna? Some are insanely aggressive, others less.
No clue, it was dark blue with black stripes. My ex-stepmother got 4 of em as ¼in fry and the 1 ate the other 3 siblings. So it got thrown into the predator tank as food just to end up as it's King lol. Only other cichlid we kept with the native fish was a angelfish and he wasn't nice either but was far more chill then that lil mbuna. Least to say tho it didn't last long when the cats seen it, lol the cats even fought over who got the fish.

Haha nice! Was it blue with about 4-5 vertical bars? I’m guessing it was a kenyi which are pretty nuts, they all start blue, but males turn orange/ yellowish when mature

Well 2 of em looked blue with 5-7 bars while the other 2 were bright yellow. Not sure where the came from or anything. Just recounting from memory from 6-7 years ago.

Could’ve been kenyi if they were adults, I kind of assumed they were juvies. Yellows could’ve been yellow labs, but I don’t think they would be that aggressive. But ya , they’ve been fish poo for a long time now, so it really doesn’t matter lol

Lol yeah the were babies when they first got em. Pretty sure they can from a mutt batch. Either that or a assorted tank. Either way the cats sure loved him haha.
