My guy Casper got me a few times20201003_102844.jpg20190206_102650.jpg
Eventually I got sick of the carnage upon my arms and started to intake net him while I did the maintenance. He got so used to it, water changes every three days, that he would just swim into the net(let's get this over with)20190629_093543.jpg

I don't have a picture. But one time, I got on a step ladder to stick my hand in the tank to pet my fish who would push each other out of the way for petting. I was waggling my fingers in front of one of my fish, when he suddenly chomped down on my finger. Can't blame him...he thought I wanted to shake hands, and not having hands, he did the next best thing and used his mouth......The bite wound bled profusely. I was undergoing chemotherapy at the time, and the next time I saw my oncologist, I casually mentioned my fish had bit me. He was appalled and stated that fish carry a lot of pathogens...that they don't allow even small fish tanks in the in-patient chemotherapy area. I never again stuck my hand in the tank (even to clean) until I completed chemo. I bet I am the only person with "patient was bitten by her fish" in their medical records.
Yikes, you got bit by your monster pacu!? Can’t imagine what that’s like

Didn't leave a mark but when my female EBA started laying eggs, I reached in to adjust the bit of driftwood she chose as a nest.

She headbutted the hell outta me lmao

No picture here, but I had a little clown fish that used to always attack me when I would clean his tank.

My Oscar (around 6-7" now) is SUPER aggressive with feeding. He got my finger once above the water before even entering the tank and hurt like hell - broke the skin and he barely got it. I can't imagine a full-on bite from him, let alone when he's actually grown! I didn't think they really had teeth except in the back but they damn sure can have some little sharp ones upfront as well after some more reading.....??

He bites hoses, pumps, etc. out of curiosity any time I clean the tank. When he knows it's my hand he doesn't chase it but he definitely follows and stays right near my hand the whole time which I am now not a fan of lol!

Ha haa, teenager. Mine was the same way at that stage, even leaping out of the water. Anything near his mouth got bitten. I tried head rubs to calm him (I called it pats and tickles). Brick gave me the stinkeye at first but he stopped biting as much and seemed to enjoy the rubs after a while.

Yeah they’re crazy! He jumped clear out of the tank the other day and fell all the way to the tile floor. Picked him up and put him back in and he just kept eating. If I ever had to get him out of the tank, I swear I could just grab him with my hand. Completely different than the other fish 😂

Keep that clean and disinfected. Wear gloves until that heals. I keep long aquarium gloves and 3 Mil latex grippers.
