Having trouble getting my Convict cichlids to breed

How long has the tank been setup? Is it cycled?

Bigger tank might help, they might also just need a little more time, 1 month is not all that long. I would also ask what your water parameters are- convicts are not picky about pH or temp, but if there is high nitrate or something like that they may be uncomfortable

Everything parameter wise was good just a few days ago, I do a water change every week but I'll check again

id put the temp up a few degrees and do a cooler water change every week!

Usually if you look twice at Convict's, they breed. Very easy in most cases.

I have been doing this for the past 2 weeks, isn't it suppose to trick them into thinking it's rain so then they breed?

yes cichlids live in seasonal areas at home! rain/dry spells and change in temps! But if your convicts don't wont to play ball with temp changes/cooler water changes! Maybe you just aint got a compatible pair! maybe mix things up and put in another female or male till they pair! and sell other spare fish!

It's pretty hard to get a clear picture of these guys. They are constantly moving and the lighting on this tank when taking pictures with my phone is terrible lmao. Here are a few though. I'll get better ones when I get home from work
