heres another cheap diy filter idea

If they have enough flow at the head you'll have (this you'll have to test for yourself), just leave all filter material very loose for them.

so i loosened the media and it flows a lil better.
its better then buying a new filter so i guess it stays.

not at all,simple,pull the ends off,shove a stick through to push the media out,rinse,put back together.
