Sorry but i had a little laugh after reading that, thats good and bad news, keep us postedryansmith83;4017929; said:Batch #2 was eaten by female #1. I don't think she liked the male splitting his duties between the two batches. Of course, this means that female #2 beat the crap out of female #1, and then a full-on war ensued. All the females are frayed and beat up. The only one who escaped unscathed is the male -- go figure.
I pulled the fry from batch #1 once they went free-swimming. They are very small and fragile fry. I've noticed this before with new pairs. When my Laetacara spawned, the first few batches had very weak, sickly fry. That improved with time. I'm hoping that's the case with these, too.
I still have about 50 fry that are on their second day of eating baby brine. I decided to use actual live brine for these instead of the decapsulated brine eggs. I hope they are eating the decaps in a few weeks; I don't miss hatching brine. lol.
We'll see how they do. Once the females heal back up, I'm sure they'll try again.
It was like a bad episode of Jerry Springer. He's sleeping with all three of them, has kids with two of them at the same time, and yet the girls still fight each other over him. Why aren't they ganging up on him?honda237;4017934; said:Sorry but i had a little laugh after reading that, thats good and bad news, keep us posted
