Just thought I would resurrect this thread and report on the progress of my Severum purchased from Wetspot. Of course they all came in with ich as others have reported except one and although the others have long since been ich free the one with no health problems is much larger. I going to post a couple of pics to show the size difference. How has it gone so far with everyone else?

Yeah it's kinda strange. Maybe a testament to how illness early on affects their growth.

It's no surprise to me that people are having trouble with the health of the fry. I have culled every batch of mine so far because they are weak and drop like flies after about two weeks. I think I know why, and I'm going to be testing that out on the next spawn. If it turns out to be right, I'll document it here.

@ryansmith83 did you ever figure this out?

No, that wasn't me. It was not gill flukes.

My pairs have been seasonal spawners so they usually stop around July/August and pick back up in the spring. I'll try again with them next year.
