no water meter for me

but it cant be that much no more than a extra bath per day

i have never heated water before adding to the tank rays like the temp drop it simmulates rain fall

why would you need 2 x di resin cambers surely one is plenty

Im not sure about why two resin maybe different metals. Iv only started heating me water before hand coz last few months water has been so cold as feed is from out side tap and the temperature drop was a lot when doing wc. Tank normally sits at 28 and would drop to 22 after wc.

i dont know that 28 stuff

all i know is when i done normal water changes from outside tap my tank sat at 86 and with a 25-30% water change mine dropped from 86 down to 78 in the winter and the rays loved it they bred most times with the temp drop as they think its rainy season and time to breed as more food about when pups are born

it doesnt take long to heat up

it did say above that camber 4 and 5 had di resin

28c is 82f it drops to about 72f just didnt think it was a great idea to have a big temp drop, but as u say in wild rainy season temps must drop so I could be wasting my time

i only use a 3 chamber 10" system

1st sedement
2nd coccnut carbon block
3rd carbon block

what is the di resin and whats it for

also how offten do you change the cartiges as the flow seams fairly slow

Wots the difference between coconut carbon block and the carbon block in the 3rd chamber ?

In the new clear Kdf media cartridges you can see the gold copper beads mixed in with the Kdf

Any copper in a ray system if bad

BUT

If the di resin does what I think it does and removes heavy metal then it should be gone by the time it hits the tank

But still they are much cheaper to and anyway to keep copper out of the tank is good by me

Di filter removes iron hence the name di ( de-ironises) and also aids in taste remover.find them on human drinking fountains I removed mine from my hma system alot off people ive heard dis like them

I added the 2 di chambers to hopefully give me that bit better water I put 2 coz thats what I had left didnt see the point in leaving 1 chamber empty.
