Yes look

Coconut carbon without the copper Kdf is what I use

https://collinswaterproducts.co.uk/...d=183&osCsid=a8f781ece97cea08a3e13a86a772fb39

Collins water product now make there own last stage cartridge so I gave them a call and asked for just coconut carbon

The copper probably won't do any harm as I was running my tank for 2 years before I found out what it had in it

But I did have the Kdf in the middle chamber with the normal carbon block at the last stage so it may have been removing the copper

Been running without Kdf for over a year now with no problems

I'm not a scientist so can't answer the tech stuff all I know is what works and what doesn't

What is the crb2-10

Oooops I have been posting in the wrong thread

Anyway

If you are running 2 x di resin cartridges then you must have 0 tds

If this is the case its like running pure ro into the tank which I thought was unsafe

Does anyone else run pure ro on a drip and is it safe long term

The ph must be very unstable due to the low gh and kh

I have just added the di resin chamber so give it a go
I may put a bye pass on my HMA di unit and run the drip for 1 day with di and 1 day just HMA this should put the minerals back in

Any one

I run the same hma as T1 but not on a drip and agree your change rate is low. i do roughly 100 gallon water changes every other day so 300 a week for 350 total volume. swedeboy is doing 540 a week for 600 so your change is quite small considering total volume. I am lucky to have 0 nitrate tap but have to deal with low gh and kh. what nitrate does your tap run at? what nitrate does your tank run at?

How do you battle the low hardness issues? I am installing a drip system for a new setup and I am wondering if I will have to drip buffer in too.

sorted

right this is what i done

water into HMA water out of the HMA to a T then flow tap on one pipe then back to the tank

the other pipe on the T i took to a di resin chamber then a flow tap then back to the tank

i have 2 drip pipes in the tank the blue one goes to the di resin with 0ppm tda the other pipe is white which come right from the HMA

at the moment i am running it 50 50 so the flow from both pipes is even this will keep the gh and kh buffed and add minerals

you could do this with pure RO to cut down costs on the di resin

getting the balance right may take a bit of messing around but it wont be a problem

rght

running di resin on its own is a bit of a waste of time even with 2 chambers

i have been running mine about a week and its nearly done so running 2 will give you 2 weeks max before it needs to be changed so it will cost a fortune to run just di

next thing to try for me is to use the T as stated above but this time i will run a 150gpd RO unit then di and a secont drip just from the hma this may or may not work as im not sure if i will be able to get enough presure to run the RO and a drip from HMA off the same tap

its all fun and games

will let you know how i get on next weekend
