The lightning shows are amazing here. Almost nightly we get them, now in the rainy season. When the sun goes down, the clouds pour in and time for the light show. I don't know why it is but the locals seem to be absolutely afraid of the rain. Where as me I love walking around in it.

Yeah, I forgot about that extra complication. In the southern hemisphere, the sun rises in the west and sets in the east...and the clocks all run backwards, with the 1 just to the left of the 12 and so forth. Toilets flush backwards...water flows uphill...Christmas in the middle of summer...
Actually, John, people have started wearing their jackets and sweaters because just a few degrees less can feel way too cold for us. Heaters will be turned on, and we’ll limit exposure to the outside world at night. Just the day before yesterday, the temperature was 24 degrees Celsius, and I had to wear my jacket outside!
It rained off/on all week. Had a break in the rain today. Rain forecast for the next week starting tomorrow. We have a frost advisory for tomorrow with a low of 36. There was an orange glow in the house, so looked outside. Gorgeous twilight colors.
Maximum 26c today, for Western Australia that is winter temperatures at the start of summer, so good.
We're insanely and unseasonably warm here. Daytime temps 7-10C most days, nights just at freezing. We're one week into deer season, and the combination of warm temps and the full moon is suppressing daytime deer activity. And we have no snow on the ground yet. What little has fallen melts quickly.
