How Fast Do Oscar Grow

Was looking to put another tiger oscar in my pond but, its hard to find them a foot long. Was going to buy about the 5-6" size then rise it up. How long would it take to Grow to about a ft or so?
 
Lots of factors in the question you are asking. But for the most part they grow pretty fast!

Variables include but are not limited to...

Water change schedule and percentage? Tankmates? Feeding schedule? etc.
 
If you just feed it a lot will it grow faster?
 
Power feeding and water changes are the key...
 
Okay about how many weeks or months?
 
i bought my oscars last year october at 1 to 2 inches now there 8 to 10 inches. so i'll say 12 inches the frist year.
 
Did you power feed them or just feed them like in the morning or somehting?
 
power feeding for the frist month, to get them fat, then fed them moring and nights.
