Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows how much roughly my arowana is worth in £ pounds. I think its a Banjar Red (correct me if im wrong) its about 20" big now, had a bad time early last year so the face is not the prettiest, but back to eating lots and very strong.

Thanks

I'm not too up on my arowana prices, and I definitely don't want to offend, but he dosen't look to be in great shape. What size tank is he in? What are your water parameters? He looks like he has a bit of fin rot, and maybe something else going on with his scales (other than his head). Maybe some more experienced aro owners could help you out with what's going on there, I'd hate for you to lose him.

The face... it reminded me of a melting candle... in term of value... I will say it's hard to even to get a decent offer base on it's condition... But I don't believe in putting a price tag on my own fish.

I wont lose this arowana because it is strong as strong, eating lots of food and gettingn thicker. The tank has been running very good for the past 6 months, before my filters broke down and then the heaters broke down so after a while ended up like this. but dont get me wrong the aro its now eating well and strong. As for tank size is 72" width 30" depth and 24" height.

Awhile mean for how long? But base on your tank size and water volume even if your system broke for awhile the fish shouldn't look like this... Sorry but I don't buy the awhile story.:(

It looks like a catfish tried eating it head-first... is the fish just genetically mutated or did something severe happen to it? The head is definitely not normal.

There is still fin rot though....maybe he would benefit from some more frequent water changes? Do you have a test kit, do you know what your water parameters are? He just looks very "waxy", there is something wrong there.

I agree. It looks like something went very wrong. As for value, I'm not sure how willing someone would want to buy a fish that looks like Freddy Krueger.

what farm did you buy it from? It's a really poor quality. I would try to nurse it back to it it original form before thinking about pricing it.
