I also use energy efficient equipments. I only have two piece of equipment made in China. All my equipments are made in the USA or Europe. I run low power T5 lighting and have cover for all my tanks to keep the tank temperature steady. My price is $135 in the winter for 150g, 125g, 75g, 20g, and 12g. In the summer the price is about $85. All my tank temp are kept at 80F. For those paying over $300 a month I would check the wattage on your pump motors. The Sedra pump I was using for water change was rated at 200w. Imagine 200w running all day vs a 20w canisters. That's a big difference right there.ntboy09;3883125; said:Mine is 50 dollars a month, 180g & 125g aquarium and a 300g pond.
Why so cheap? because i used filters, heaters, power heads and pumps that are all made in Europe/America and energy efficient (not china stuff). Recently i changed my lighting from 400watts power compact fixtures to 15 watts LED lighting, cost me about 300 for both tanks but worth the money.
