Just bought one alpha male and two females for the big guy and there in a tnak with alot of plantpots, slates and plants.
Anything else i need to do guys?

Just give them time, lots of high quality food, and water changes...they will breed soon

I've always love Buffalo Heads but never had an empty tank to raise them.

Good luck and please post some pics if and when they breed.

I dig those B.H...... can't seem to find them in So. Cal.. Please post a picture.

I'l post a picture when or if they strat breeding.
Anyone have any good information on them please?

once they pair off, you should keep an eye on the "odd man out" in case the aggression is too much, otherwise it is pretty easy to breed them, and you're doing everything right to this point

I'd love to see some pics of them too :D

You need a big tank, so when the pairs pair off they don't mess with each other. Lots of Caves and rocks for dif territories. They take care of the babies, very well. They pair off for life; So if one pair loses a male, you pretty much lost the pair. They won't usually have two mates a lifetime. Feed they fry fine crushed flakes, or bbshrimp.

Try looking for Buffaloes in dedicated fish stores. Most stock them.

there are probably online stores that have them too, they are easy to order since they are not rare, just not desireable enough for most lfs to carry them regularly
