I had a tsn x p. blochii for 2 years, and the guy before me had it for around a year or more. It was 14" when I got it, and when it died due to heater malfunction it was 18" I think it would probably never got over 24" or 26". Think of the 3-4' adult size of a tsn and the 1' adult size of a blochii. Seems to be right inbetween there. So I think that when mixing two fish of smaller and larger sizes you will get something inbetween. Kinda like channel and blue catfish hybrids. They grow faster than either parent (hybrid vigor), but only get up to around 60-70 lbs. Large adult channels are 48-58 lbs, and large adult blues are 100-120 lbs. Supposedly there is a flathead x channel being produced for study purposes in florida.Taboojen;1305183; said:I've seen the baby rtc x paroon catfishes at one or two of the LFS nearby here in Southern Calif. They had them for sale the past month or two, but not sure if any left.
If they ever did produce a rtc x lima hybrid, then I wonder if the max size would thus be smaller than 48" +
