Decided to replace the 20L in the garage rack with a 36"x12" footprint, 30 gallon tank. A bit more user friendly for fish I keep. Thinking of moving my Arrowhead puffer in there and have the 65B available for something else.
My garage rack is so close to being finished but I need to level off the rack. It seems that the sloep in the floor starts where the rack ends. I need to put something the thickness of a paint stick (apx 1/8") under it to level
Once complete, I have another 75g available to grow fish out or do something with. The garage project has been going on and is part of my amphilophus project since I needed growout tanks. If I didnt have the big bichir in the 300 I probably could have just grown out the cichlids in the big tank but with 18"-20" polys I am better off growing them out a bit first.
Funny thing about this project is that it made me realize how much I hate the growout process and the constant fish changeover/rehoming. I really miss my big pearsei and the stability of having the same stock. I have a feeling the two 75's will just end up with other fish as keepers once the stock has been determined for the 300.
