My buddy says its about 5-6”. I swear I think he would keep him if it wasn’t for the fact he already has a 12”+ trimac of his own, lol.

I have to shuffle some tanks/fish to make room for it so it wont be home for a little bit. The trimacs home was to be the recently acquired 90 but ran into some problems with the tank. Will post some updates on that fiasco.

At the moment looking to move my arrowhead puffer into a 30 gallon and then a 65B would be available for the trimac until the replacement 90 comes in.
Good luck with all that ?

My buddy sent me a video of the trimac last night and it is a bold little thing. Makes me seriously consider trying it in the 300.
No other cichlid just the trimac, and my 3 bichir and 3 bala sharks. I wonder if it would work...

Any thoughts on that one? Are trimac that much more aggressive?

Sounds like it would work but too backtrack so much after you were set on the amphilophus community....Would be pretty cool though to have a centerpiece cichlid in that big of tank and without a mate it would grow faster and bigger and become quite the beast.

Yeah, it would be a bit of a backtrack but it would be so cool! I really loves the way the little trimac looks and would seriously consider this as a solo centerpiece. But I wont succumb to the dark side, lol

Wouldn’t be a horrible idea but maybe just give him the 90 or a 75 too himself.

Couple quick pics showing the hoga in its natural colors. This fish has come a long ways.

Just way too much orange in the tank... need to bring in something not so orange, wish the white Sagittae were bigger.
