I always kill these threads..in a couple forums other than this I'm so well know for it that it has become legendary..

Caught this guy in the lake last night and kept him overnight in an empty tank I had. If it's illegal I will get rid of it of course but I'm wanting to find more info on it. I thought it was a juvi red ear at first but I'm not so sure. Huge mouth on this little guy.

Edit to add: I am in Indiana and didn't find anything here about this fish.

Bingo! Thanks. Now question......Can I keep this fish? Is it legal in Indiana? I have it in a 29 right now. Could upgrade in the near future but it's real small right now and the only fish in the tank. Also if I keep it would it eventually accept pellets?

If you caught the fish legally you can keep it.
